Two more days until Elimination week starts! By now you have read Dr. Junger’s CLEAN and reviewed the “no go” foods. Now it’s time to start your pantry and belly prep. We all have “no go” foods in our pantry. The goal here is to toss them before the RECHARGE begins or if the shelf life endures the RECHARGE, hold the item until after RECHARGE completion.
The Quick Guide has useful tips on it that will help you through your cleansing journey. Please review these. If you have yet to purchase your Quick Guide (and/or cookbook) you can get one via our online shop and get them in within a few business days. They provide you the 21 day menu that coincides with the HBHL Cookbook and each week’s grocery list.
A couple of tips for preparation:
· If you live in a smaller town or doing this in a larger group that shops at the same place, you’ll want to get with your grocer on some of the items like brown rice pasta and squashes. Otherwise you’ll find these items will sell out quickly.
· Ensure you have a dependable blender. We do blended soups at night at some of them are thicker – you’ll want to ensure the blender can solidify the soups without burning out.
· Supplements: CLEAN recommends several supplements in their program. These are quite costly. There are other options out there that you can buy at the grocery store (protein powder and super greens powder). You can buy these on Amazon at a competitive price and get them delivered to your front step (which I like).
· Start weaning yourself from sugar and caffeine early. It’s the hardest for us to let go but your body will thank you. This will help avoid headaches in week one.
Lastly, we’re attaching the HBHL Recharge Diary. Please download this and fill it out prior to starting the RECHARGE. We’ll look at this again after the cleanse for comparison.
